My Year in Review
I sit here after loading photos into this blog with tears in my eyes. 2016 was a big year for McKenzie Bigliazzi Photography. I learned so much and got to meet so many awesome people. I have the best clients with the best taste. I found myself at the beginning of the year hating my work. I was constantly comparing myself to other photographers in the area and seriously getting ready to just shut this show down. I didn't have a fully developed style and I didn't understand a lot of my camera. I wasn't sure how to get better and I had too much pride to reach out. Finally, I just started to shoot everything around me. My camera was always on my side. I learned to shoot from different perspective and studied styles of photography that I really loved. I looked at photographers work and studied. I attended work shops and read a lot! If there were down times at weddings, I would experiment with different techniques and different ways of shooting without any pressure (which produced some of my best photographs this year!) I expanded my clientele to Bloomington-Normal and the Chicago area through new marketing skills I have learned. I ended this year in much better place than I was at the beginning of the year - comparing myself to myself only.
I couldn't have done this without the help and support of all of you. I cannot wait to capture the memories you make in 2017! Happy New Year and SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!! (lol)
Welcome to the highlights of my most recent shoots! Feel free to leave comments and share my blogposts with your friends.
