Brett + Brittany

Magnolia, IL

Brittany contacted me back in 2015 to photograph their wedding. Her and I were both in school and unable to meet. I finally got to meet her and Brett a few months before their wedding and finally got to put a face with all of our emails. She and I chatted and chatted about their wedding day but once we met, everything started coming to life. They just radiated their love for each other which excited me so much for them to be in front of my lens.

Brett and Brittany's day was set for a cute backyard wedding and the morning was rainy. The girls got ready at Brittany's sister's house, where the wedding was held. We were worried the rain wouldn't clear up for the outdoor ceremony - rain or shine, the ceremony was to be outside. While guests were arriving and choosing their seats, it was sprinkling. Once the ceremony started, the weather cleared up and there was no more rain. Everyone was so excited to see Brittany walk down the aisle. The moment Brett saw Brittany, he was immediately consumed by her.

The reception hall had a lake surrounded by wooded area and a perfect view for the sunset. The lake setting fit Brett and Brittany perfectly and made for an amazing back drop. When I finally had them alone, I found some boats that I wanted to use for photographs. Brett put one of the boats in the water for me and helped Brittany jump in. With Brett being pretty outdoorsy, this seemed very very fitting.

It was a beautiful day and I love reliving it over and over with these photos. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Crite for letting me capture such special moments.
